Pediatric Speech Therapy Services
What is speech therapy?
Speech therapy is a solution for individuals that struggle with speech and language development, including expressive, pragmatic, and receptive language; articulation; and fluency. For infants and children, this helps them meet developmental milestones, build confidence, and helps them communicate with others. It can also help with feeding, swallowing, and chewing problems, as well as their sensory processing abilities.
Seeking speech therapy treatment for your child will look different than speech therapy for adults, as it will have more of a focus on ensuring that the child is meeting developmental milestones. This acts as a preventative measure to keep any problems from getting worse as they grow.

When should I start my child in speech therapy?
- Not communicating at all by the first year of life
- Noticeable difficulties forming two-word sentences by age two
- Trouble maintaining eye contact during interactions with others
- Developing a stutter
- Hearing loss diagnosis and/or frequent ear infections
- Other people have a hard time understanding what they are saying by age four
